After lots of research, ended up with a Pass Labs X-150. It was used, but came with a years warranty. Also cost only 1/2 of a new one. Jun 4, 2015

I'm In total agreement with Ernie. I have a pair of Emotiva XPA-1 mono power amps, EC-3 CD player. They satisfy as did the YBA Passion power and pre amp I had at a much lower cost.

Going to have to wait. Wife is a bit hesitant on this. Wonders just how much better my sound can get, because she says it is so good. Damn

hi Ernie. i read the amp itch has not gone away. got some info for you. i bought my marantz and my PARA a-21 from safeandsound.com...both open box/full warranty. saved a ton. i contacted them a minute ago re return policy. said i had an audio friend interested in the a-21. they have a 30 day return, minus shipping. wait till they have B-stock and grab one. per s+s they should have some in a week. i love my a-21.

Hey, Ernie. it looks like the amp you have is the XPA-2 GEN1. the silver bars. i'm a EMO club member which equals a good deal on my next amp. i'm considering a new XPR-2, and hopeing for them to make XPR-3. the XPR-2 has WAY more power than my A-21, and costs $1000.00 less. and it looks SO cool. if they had a XPR-3 i'ld do it rite now. or you could show more discipline than me and forget the whole thing :-)

If you aren't getting at least a 5 day burn in, be prepared for some ups and downs for a while. They will settle in nicely though. What you should hear is a wider soundstage and better placement of instruments. You can actually point to each instrument. Vocals will be nicer also and you should be able to follow harmonies much easier.

Have a price in mind. Don't go above it. If you can't get what you want at a price you feel comfortable with, then just say you will have to wait. I know Mike isn't big on buying other people's used Morrow cables, but I've done very well that way. Got some MA7's for 800 shipped. Just IMHO.

hey ernie. if you could share your thoughts or opinions on sp-7-bw termination, please? banannas are easiest.imo, but i don't really know the short commings of any termination. so for the options offered which do you think is best? thank you for any info.

I am very happy with my SP7's. I have banana clips and they do just fine. I went from 6's to 7's, and to me there was an improvement. I got them used and on sale, with a trade of my 6's.

Vincent, bang for the dollar it is some of the best gear out there. Not sure about shipping costs to you though. Could get a bit pricey. In the States, to me, it's a no brainer, unless you have money to burn.
