    Hello all,

I just thought I would mention how well Morrow Audio cabling works with low powered single ended amps and high efficiency speakers, most notable those with full range drivers. I am currently using SP4's to the speakers, a DIG2 from my Squeezebox Touch to my DAC, and MA'3's as interconnects between amp, preamp, and DAC. I do plan to upgrade in the future because I am very pleased with Morrow Audio cables.

The SP4 working fine with all kind of set up, even in a high-current amp. I think that you should update your interconnect cables from MA3 to MA5.

I seriously doubt there would be an application that Morrow cables would not work in.

I fully agree with Ernie. I had replaced all my intetconnects to Morrow. Dig3 for the DAC, MA4 for DAC to my amp. SP2 for the speakers. I had the SP5 on the way. However my cd player just cannot benefit from the ma4, still using a 8 year old interconnect bought from a "club" member. Now I have a pair of MA3 spare.

If it would not cost so much to ship to you, the Emotiva ERC3 CD player is an amazing player. Best CD player I have ever owned.

Thanks Ernie. I am using Marantz cd6004, which was the best fir its price point at launch. Somehow the MA4 could not bring out what my old cable is able to do. Woukd like to try the reference cables but not within my budget and also not justifiable to spend that kind of money for the player.

The Marantz is a very fine player. I considered it at one time.

I am using the Marantz sa8004 with ma1's and I am very happy with the sound. I was using Tara Labs and Cardas quadlink 5's before and I feel the Morrows are much cleaner and articulate with better attack and decay. After proper break in they fully filled out from top to bottom.

I am using the cd6004 with the pearl lite using tge 8 year old cable. Digital coming from MF V-link2 to V-Dac2 (with Vpsu2)
via Dig3 and MA4 to the amp. The sound quality are pretty close with the cd6004 having a little more air on the mid to high notes. I tried the ma4 for the cdp and found the sound got constricted a little forcing me to use back the old faithful. Hoping to get the pearl lite cdp when I see them on sale, that would make the system sound much better.

I have done lots of home work on Mike's cables.I think his cables would make a old boom box sound great.LOL.

Morrow Audio cables work great for me on both solid state and tube amps. I'm currently using Morrow Audio MA2 XLRs and Morrow Audio SP3 speaker wire with Red Dragon Audio monoblocks but before then I was using them with a Jolida JD 502P amp which I believe is an UltraLinear tube amp design. The Morrow Audio line of cables is very friendly with various types of gear.

Got the SA8005 and it has big difference over tge 6004s. It's still breaking in, only clocked 20 hours on it. One thing I find the 8005 needs a couple of minutes before they are listenable, dunno why? Awaiting the MA6 to see if the high frequency extensions could be improved.

Got a used power amp and use the pearl lite as a pre. Lazy to swap cable so use the MA3 as ic for pre/pow connection. The sound stage is small and there seems to gave a thick veil over the music. Thought the amp or ma3 (kept in storage for months) needed time to settle. After 2 weeks still the same. Left the ma4 as source to pre (no change) and use my old faithful ic to pre/pow and walla the whole system just exploded. The sound stage is bigger than the lite on its own, the highs are back in spades and bass slam is back too. Just sort of given up on my ma2 and ma3. They really cannot compete with my old faithful. Still waiting for the ma6, hopefully it will eat up the old cable or I have to leave this forum and Morrow cables for good.

Surprised to hear that. I've tried several cables. A few could hang with the 3's, but nothing could do what the 6 and 7's could.

Hope they do for the money. My old faithful cost less than the ma3 used when I got 2 years ago from the club member who says he had it for about 4 years.

How many hours have you put on the Morrows MA3's ?

These was bought used and I also used it for about 6 months b4 I gave up and went up to ma4. The ma4 is still lacking the sound stage and resolution after more then a year, as compared with my old cable. My ma6 purchase was done to replace a xlr ma5 which my gears do not have the connectors. Hope that smoke the old cable, if not there will be lots of red faces here.

Are you happy with your sp5 speaker cables ? just curious ? you went from the Ma3's to the Ma5's doubt you'll be
happy with the 6's maybe some synergy issue with the player ? every cable manufacture I've
ever heard of will say there maybe situations that there cable will not work for the user....
use the return policy. just sayin......
