Finally decided to rip all my cd's to a dedicated laptop. So the fun begins.

So how do you think the sound will be from the lap top, compared to a dedicated CD player?

I am mainly doing this as a way to listen to music without the need to hunt through all my CD's to find one to listen to. The sound quality is OK. Mainly just back ground music like Pandora.

You're going to have to retire to finish all of them.:D

Keep it up. You'll be done by Christmas.

Playing the files from the laptop is terrible. You'll definitely need a dedicated DAC.

I will be using a Schitt modi 2 uber dac from a dedicated Dell.
